Digipak Research - Katy Perry 'Teenage Dream'

The style of Katy Perry is immediate shown through the colours and the use of font with a sense of fantasy. The sweets-like type allows audience to get the idea that she is playful and likes to experiment which is her star image. In the front cover she is laying down on pink clouds or candy floss which signifies she is very delicate and fun despite her appearing to be a female sex symbol. This will increase her sales from more male target audiences. She is also naked which could suggest she is willing to show her audience everything she got. The use of pink, red and sky blue makes it feel cute and sweet.

The CDs are printed in the design of candy canes and doughnuts to relate back to the theme of deserts and sweet from the music video. Again the same colours are used to stick the colour scheme. These CDs do not have the artist's name or songs printed on them so when they are taken out of the digipak, it still won't be mistaken because of the strong use of its unique convention of the song.

The track-list is written in a bright red colour to make it stand out by using contrast against the bubble gum pink and blue colours. The font is also in a style that looks like sweets to relate back to the theme of the music video and song.
