Digipak Research - Jessie J 'Who You Are'

Jessie J's face is the main subject matter for the album cover which suggests her importance and dominance of the songs. The album cover is also a poster which makes it easier for customers to find it in store. The colour contrast between white and black with gold brings out her strong character along with the heavy, dark make-up, nails and outfit. The gold typeface also promotes her brand image as an attractive, playful and confident artist. Once again, her name is the biggest on the cover showing that she is important and powerful. The choice of using close up creates intimacy as she stares intensely at her audience making them drawn to her product.

The CD is simple but the use of white still allows the whole digipak to relate back to each other. Although the they did not use gold for Jessie J's name but the font itself still brings out the 'strong' appearance to be recognised.

Again the colour scheme of the contrasting black and white is used to keep the consistency. It is presented simply which makes it easy to be read and connotes Jessie J is very straight forward - a bold character.
